Principal II (PPG-PR372) perennial ryegrass is a new generation of perennial ryegrass released in 2018. It is a top NTEP performing variety for overall quality, gray leaf spot tolerance and drought tolerance.
Principal II is an advanced poly cross from plots in Oregon and New Jersey. Extensive selections from each location were allowed to cross to form this new variety. At these locations, it demonstrated superior persistence with summer stress, excellent germination and establishment.
